On 10 March 2021, a remote controlled IED by Al Shabaab militants detonated, targeting a government security forces (SNA) convoy traveling along the road between Awdheegle and Bariire village, near Bulo-Yaqle village (Afgooye, Lower Shabelle). No fatalities and/or injuries reported.
