Journalist of the state Russian news agency RT Andrei Filatov admitted in his report that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation use chemical weapons in the form of gas grenades. The propagandist's report was about how the Russians "smoked out" a Ukrainian machine gunner from a position near Avdiivka. The propagandist showed in his report, presumably, a Russian gas grenade RG-VO (hand grenade - poisonous substance).

"Here you can see the gas mask that was hanging at the machine gunner. Zincs from under the cartridges. Here's the gas grenade we dropped," says Filatov.

According to the propagandist, the Ukrainian position was taken by Russian troops on December 1, 2023. In the same month, the Armed Forces of Ukraine first reported the use of RG-VO grenades by the Russian army. According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the RG-VO contains poisonous gas chloracetophenone.

This gas is on the 1st list of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC). Symptoms of chloracetophenone poisoning are profuse vomiting, lacrimation, skin irritation. Other Z-propagandists also reported on the use of the RG-VO grenade by the Russian military. For example, pro-Russian blogger Vladimir Romanov. In early May, the U.S. State Department accused Russia of using chlorpicrine gas against Ukrainian troops in violation of the Chemical Weapons Convention. The Russian side denied everything.
