On 11 February 2021, a suspected Israeli drone targeted a car belonging to pro-Iran militias as it crossed the Iraqi borders into the area of Al-Bukamal in Deir-ez-Zor countryside, carrying a shipment of weapons, which was followed by an explosion. Neither injuries nor fatalities were reported.
