On 28 February 2021, a landmine, previously planted by an unidentified armed group, exploded in the desert of Al-Bukamal in the countryside of Deir-ez-Zor, killing 2 members of the Fatemiyoun Brigade who were collecting truffles in the area. 2 fatalities.
