On 3 February 2021, unidentified armed assailants triggered two bomb blasts at the premises of Muliwala Lower Primary School near Assam-Mizoram border (coded as Hailakandi, Hailakandi district, Assam). The school building, drinking water reservoir and a toilet were damaged.
