On 29 March 2021, unknown militants detonated a roadside explosive device targeting a convoy carrying logistical materials for the US belonging to a contractor (Iraqi company and drivers) for the Global Coalition near Jisr Raqm Ithnayn in Babylon province. The blast damaged a fuel truck and set fire to the fuel and the driver was injured.
