On 25 February 2021, Russian warplanes carried out airstrikes on IS positions in the desert of Al-Rasafah in Ar-Raqqa countryside. Airstrikes on the deserts of Ash Shula, Ithariyah, and Al-Rasafah killed 15 IS fighters. Fatalities are split across the 3 locations as follows: 5 Ash Shula, 5 Ithariyah, and 5 Al-Rasafah. 5 fatalities.
