On 24 February 2021, Russian warplanes carried out airstrikes on IS positions in the Aleppo-Hama- Ar-Raqqa triangle in Ithairyah area in Hama countryside. Airstrikes on the deserts of Ash Shula, Ithariyah, and Al-Rasafah killed 19 IS fighters. Fatalities are split across the 3 locations as follows: 7 Ash Shula, 6 Ithariyah, and 6 Al-Rasafah. 2 fatalities.
