On 17 October 2020, pro-Houthi forces reportedly blew up the houses of tribal leader Salih Umar Majuz al-Tiyabi and another citizen in Tiyab area (Dhi Naim, Al Bayda), claiming that the sons of the owners were AQAP members. Another similar event took place in nearby Al Batha area on the same day, both allegedly resulting in the displacement of several women and children. No report of fatalities or injuries.
