On 17 October 2020, pro-Houthi forces reportedly blew up the house of a citizen in Al Batha area (Dhi Naim, Al Bayda), claiming that the son of the owner was an AQAP member. Another similar event took place in nearby Tiyab area on the same day, both allegedly resulting in the displacement of several women and children. No report of fatalities or injuries.
