On 19 October 2020, near Ywar Thit Kay village (Rathedaung Township, Sittwe District, Rakhine State), an artillery shell fired by Rathedaung-based Myanmar military fell near the village and killed a teacher. The shell exploded near him while he was herding cattle near the village. He died on the way to the hospital.
