On 12 October 2020, an explosion targeted a passing pick-up truck of the Southern Border Provinces Administration Centre (SBPAC) in Ai Kue De village, Moo 4, tambon Si Banphot (Si Sakhon district, Narathiwat). Isranews Agency reported that the IED was planted on the roadside and was detonated by the Malay Muslim Separatists while Bangkok Post claimed that the vehicle ran over the bomb. No injuries reported.
