On 6 October 2020, forces of the TMF and the Anbar Operations Command, with help from military warplanes destroyed 6 IS hideouts and 2 tunnels during a security operation near Wadi Hawran (Alsawar), Al Hitawia and lake Tharthar in the Anbar province. A missile launcher was also destroyed in an airstrike north of Wadi Hawran. There is no indication that any IS militants were present at the site of the airstrike.
