On 30 September 2020, 6 Katyusha rockets fell near the Erbil International airport close to where Global Coalition forces are stationed. Around 4 rockets exploded, while others were intercepted. The rockets were fired from an area between Sheikh Amir and Tarjella in Bartella. No injuries or damages were caused. The rockets fell in an area near the airport between Gazna and the Hassan Sham refugee camp.
