On 20 September 2020, a roadside IED allegedly planted by PKK militants detonated during the passage of a village guard's personal vehicle in Cetinkol village of Eruh, Siirt. No casualties occurred in the attack. HPG claimed that the attacked vehicle was carrying military personnel and 6 soldiers were killed in the attack, but this was not confirmed by other sources.
