On 24 September 2020, pro-Hadi and pro-STC forces (coded as SBF by default) reportedly exchanged artillery fire early in the morning on 24 September with pro-Hadi forces shelling pro-STC forces in Ash Shaykh Salim (Zingibar, Abyan) and the converse in Qarn al Kulasi (Khanfir, Abyan). Meanwhile, pro-STC forces reportedly attempted to advance on Wadi Salah (Khanfir, Abyan), but were thwarted by pro-Hadi forces. The artillery exchanges began the night of 23 September. There were no reports on fatalities.
