On 24 September 2020, three soldiers were wounded in an explosion of an IED planted by suspected BIFF militants in Barangay Salman (Ampatuan, Maguindanao, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao). One of the wounded soldiers later died at the hospital.
