Around 16 September 2020, forces from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Ministry of Intelligence fired an RPG at a jeep they had been pursuing near Chahargah. All 4 occupants of the jeep were killed on impact. 2 of them were later confirmed to be members of the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK) militant group.
