On 16 September 2020, in La Mu Ta Pin village (Kyauktaw Township, Mrauk-U District, Rakhine State), an artillery shell landed into the village and injured two villagers. The incident happened as the Myanmar navy came down from Kyauktaw and arrived near Ah Pauk Wa village. They then started shelling around the eastern and western parts of Kaladan river. The shelling lasted about 15 minutes.
