On 4 January 2025, FAMa claimed to have carried out airstrikes against several trucks loaded with logistics material and escorted by armed militants (likely JNIM, based on location), north-west of Zarho (Tombouctou, Tombouctou). An important logistics depot was destroyed, the statement said. Local sources said that two airstrikes targeted civilian goods trucks and three civilians were killed.
