The Rapid Support Forces launched a violent attack on a neutral force affiliated with Al-Tahir Hajar and Abdel Wahid Nour near the gate of the city of Kabkabiya in North Darfur State, resulting in dozens of deaths and the burning of vehicles belonging to these forces.

Last week, Taher Hajar and Abdel Wahid Nour announced the formation of a neutral force to protect civilians under the name “Neutral Force to Protect Civilians.”

The neutral force issued a statement seen by (Sawt Al-Hamesh) today, Thursday, in which it confirmed that its forces were ambushed while carrying out their role in protecting civilians and securing commercial convoys, which led to losses in lives and equipment.

She explained that the attack represents a clear violation of the agreement that defines its role as a neutral force, and held the Rapid Support Forces fully responsible for the attack.

In the same context, sources told Sawt Al-Hamesh that the neutral force, led by Ahmed Abu Tanqa, was on its way from the Abu Qamra area to Tawila, and that the attack occurred as a result of a lack of coordination between the forces in the area.

Audio leaks from Rapid Support Forces fighters indicated that they would not allow any forces that had not explicitly declared their support for them to establish a government or move in areas under their control.
