This morning, the city of Dongola witnessed an attack by suicide drones targeting the electricity transformer station, which resulted in severe damage to the station and a power outage in the entire city.

The 19th Infantry Division Command confirmed in a statement that anti-aircraft weapons intercepted a number of drones launched by the Rapid Support Forces, but some of them managed to hit the station. The attack took place at exactly 1:00 am Sudan time, causing fires and extensive damage to the station.

Local sources reported to (Sawt Al-Hamesh) that civil defense teams and station workers are making intensive efforts to extinguish the fires and control the damage resulting from the attack.

It comes noteworthy that this attack as part of a series of systematic operations targeting vital facilities and development projects in the country, in light of the escalation of attacks on power stations, the latest of which was a similar targeting of stations in Merowe and Gedaref.
