UAV event in Russian Federation on Sat 18th January 2025

Strike drones attacked an oil depot in the city of Uzlova, Tula region of the Russian Federation.

The oil depot was attacked at night on January 18, 2025, at about 00:30 Kyiv time, resulting in a severe fire on its premises.

Local residents report about 10 explosions and strange sounds in the sky. At the same time, the governor of the Tula region confirmed that the tanks with fuel and oil materials at the plant had caught fire.

“A container with fuel and oil materials caught fire at one of the region’s enterprises. Fire fighting crews are working on the scene. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties,” wrote Dmitry Miliaev, Governor of the Tula Region.

There are 58 tanks for storing oil products at the 8 Marta oil depot of the Russian Federal Reserve.

It is located at the coordinates 54.027450, 38.050564 and is 230 km from the state border of Ukraine.

Currently, the official authorities of the Tula region say that the fire was caused by the fall of drone debris, and that a total of 5 enemy UAVs were destroyed by air defense and Electronic Warfare Forces.

Earlier, Militarnyi reported that attack drones had hit the Lyudinovo oil depot of Kaluganefteprodukt in Lyudinovo, Kaluga region of the Russian Federation.

Based on the video, Dnipro Osint’s researcher determined that the target of the drones had been the oil depot in Lyudinovo, Kaluga region, which was located about 170 km from the border with Ukraine.

This oil depot belongs to Kaluganefteprodukt, a subsidiary of Rosneft.

The tank farm in Lyudinovo has 9 tanks with a total volume of 6,700 cubic meters.
