Three soldiers and three militants were killed during exchange of fire between Security Forces (SFs) and militants when Army troops effectively engaged terrorist location in Karak District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on January 7, reports Geo News. Three soldiers were identified as Lance Havaldar Abbas Ali (38), Naik Muhammad Nazir (37) and Naik Muhammad Usman (37), Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement. Sanitisation operations were conducted to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area.
