On December 30, Latehar Police arrested Chandra Dev Singh, a wanted Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadre, from Manika area in Latehar District of Jharkhand, reports townpost.in. Singh, a resident of Kui village in Manika Police Station area, is the primary suspect in the murder of CPI-Maoist ‘zonal commander’ Chhotu Kherwar. He has also been implicated in six criminal cases across Latehar District. His arrest led to the recovery of two AK-47 rifles with foldable butts, four magazines, 91 live rounds, and Maoist literature, including three diaries.
