An explosives explosion in gas pipeline near Western Bypass in the jurisdiction of the Barori Police Station in Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan, caused a widespread disruption of gas supply across several areas of the province on December 25, reports Aaj News. Police reported that the incident occurred near a bridge in which a 18-inch diameter gas pipeline was targeted, resulting in a large fire. Barori Station House Officer (SHO), Mahmoud Kharoti, stated that initial investigations suggest sabotage, with the pipeline appearing to have been targeted with explosives.
