Nine Army personnel, including a Major, were killed and several other personnel sustained injuries when terrorists attacked a military convoy in the Sar Kharan area near Haro in Kharan District of Balochistan in the morning of December 20, reports The Balochistan Post. Balochistan Liberation Front (BKF) claimed responsibility for the attack. In a statement, BLF ‘spokesperson’ ‘Major’ Gwahram Baloch said the skirmish occurred on the morning of December 20 in the Sar Kharan area, near Haro. According to the BLF, the Pakistani military convoy, comprising ten vehicles, entered the area overnight to conduct an operation and attempted to encircle BLF cadres. However, the group claimed its intelligence wing had forewarned its fighters, enabling them to prepare. “When the military forces tried to encircle the fighters, an intense skirmish erupted, lasting over 45 minutes,” the spokesperson said, adding, “Nine military personnel, including a major, were eliminated, and several others were injured during the clash.”
