At least six people, including five Frontier Corps (FC) personnel, were killed while 56 others, including children, suffered injuries when a suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a passenger coach in New Behman area on the outskirts of Turbat town in Kech District of Balochistan on January 4, reports Dawn. The passenger coach was taking FC personnel from Karachi to Turbat. Senior Superintendent of Police (serious crimes) Zohaib Mohsin, who hails from Turbat and was on leave, also sustained injuries in the blast as they were passing through the area along with his family in his vehicle. While claiming responsibility for the attack, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) said its Majeed Brigade carried out the blast.
