SAA event in Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, Mostar area, Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tue 7th January 2025

A 26-year-old individual was arrested when a certain quantity of weapons and ammunition was seized during searches that were carried out at a residence, auxiliary premises and motor vehicles of the suspect. It is suspected that the individual, knowingly and with the intent to sell these items to third parties, had previously sold an automatic rifle, thereby obtaining illicit financial gain in an undetermined amount. Furthermore, the suspect is also charged with unlawfully acquiring and possessing Category B firearms and ammunition without a valid firearm permit, knowingly and with the intent to sell the weapons to third parties for the purpose of obtaining illicit financial gain. The investigation is ongoing.
