UAV event in Poltava , Ukraine on Thu 16th January 2025

In the Poltava region, an enemy drone was shot down during an air attack by the defense forces of Ukraine. A mobile group of the Department of Explosive Service of the Police of Poltava Oblast arrived at the scene of the incident.

"After inspecting the find, employees of the explosives department determined that the downed UAV had a warhead that did not explode. In compliance with safety measures, police explosives officers examined the remains of the drone and neutralized its warhead for further destruction," said Artem Bondarenko, head of the Poltava Oblast Police Explosive Service Department.

The police of the Poltava region remind citizens that in the case of detection of any ammunition, suspicious objects similar to ammunition or their remains, and especially unmanned aerial vehicles, bombs, missiles or their parts, under no circumstances approach or touch them.

"In case of detection of any explosive object, it is necessary to move away from it at least one hundred meters and report the discovery to the authorities, the police or rescuers by calling 102 or 101," Artem Bondarenko said.
