On 6 September 2020, a JWS fighter, which operates under OPS, was injured when a landmine, previously planted by an unidentified armed group, exploded in his motorcycle as he was travelling in the vicinity of Um Shu'ayfah village in the countryside of Ras Al Ain in Al-Hasakeh. No fatalities were reported.
