On 16 December 2024, in Bhamo town of Bhamo township (Bhamo district, Kachin state), the combined force of the Kachin Independence Army (KIO/KIA), the Kuki National Army, the All Burma Students' Democratic Front, the Kachin Region People's Defense Force, and the Gurkha Battalion clashed with the Myanmar military near a Bhamo General Hospital at around 7:30 am. In response, the military conducted an airstrike using a Y-12 aircraft at approximately 9 am, dropping bombs in the area. Casualties unknown.
