On 19 December 2024, Houthi forces in Yemen claimed to have fired two 'Palestine-2' ballistic missiles at IDF military targets in the area of Tel Aviv. One missile was partially intercepted outside of Israeli airspace by the long-range Arrow air defense system, but the warhead was not destroyed in the interception and then proceeded to hit an empty school in Ramat Gan (Tel Aviv). Shrapnel also damaged nearby parked cars and other buildings. No casualties occurred. Also, shrapnel from the partial interception fell near the Knesset in Jerusalem - Givat Ram (Judean Mountains), with no casualties occurred.
