On 20 December 2024, in Ma Yan Chaung Kwar Yi Ywar Thit village (Kyaikto township, Thaton district, Mon state), the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) conducted drone strikes by dropping bombs on the Myanmar military security checkpoint at around 2 pm. Casualties unknown.
