SAA event in Zenica-Doboj Canton, Kakanj area, Bosnia and Herzegovina on Sat 21st December 2024

A 40-year-old man was shot and injured in a shooting incident at a picnic area. According to the first testimonies, the victim had been shot by a stray bullet while he was in the company of two other men, aged 35 and 46. However, it was established during the investigation that another man, aged 35, was also present and that he had allegedly shot the victim with a pistol. The suspect was arrested and taken into custody. He is suspected of committing the criminal offences of causing general danger and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition. The pistol was seized and will undergo forensic examination. Another two men were arrested and charged with giving false testimony concerning the incident.
