SAA event in Berat County, Berat area, Albania on Thu 2nd January 2025

Two men reported to the police that two brothers shot at them with a Kalashnikov automatic rifle from a car while they were at a gas station. The victims fled towards a nearby hospital as the car pursued them, continuing to fire shots. Once they reached the inner part of the neighbourhood, the perpetrators fled the scene. Police are investigating the incident to identify the perpetrators and determine the motive behind the attack. According to the media, the conflict between the two groups began in Greece over the disruption of drug deals between them. A 46-year-old man, who helped the perpetrators hide the car used during the incident, was arrested. Also, the Kalashnikov automatic rifle was found and seized during the search of their house.
