One man who died was found unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds early Wednesday in Roseland. Another man died after an afternoon shooting in West Englewood. A third victim, a woman, died early Thursday after being shot in North Lawndale.

Two men and one woman were killed and 17 others injured in shootings across the city Tuesday night into Wednesday afternoon, Chicago police said.

Isaiah Magruder, 29, was found unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds in the 9400 block of South Harvard Avenue at 3:30 a.m. in Roseland, said police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. No one was in custody.

Around 2:50 a.m., a woman, 43, and man, 38, were in a “verbal altercation” in a residence in the 1200 block of South Sawyer Avenue in North Lawndale when the man shot her several times, police said. She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition and died there at 1:18 a.m. Thursday, according to the medical examiner’s office. The shooter was arrested after officers searched the area near the shooting.

Fifteen minutes later, a man, 30, was standing outside in the 4500 block of South Champlain Avenue in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood at 3:05 a.m. when he was shot by someone driving by in a red vehicle, police said. He was shot in his face and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he is in critical condition. No one is in custody.

A man, 51, was in a West Englewood store in the 7500 block of South Racine at 12:31 p.m. Wednesday when two people entered, one with a gun, police said. He was shot in his chest and leg and died at University of Chicago Medical Center. No arrests were reported.
