On 7 December 2024, in Shan state, unidentified armed groups carried out mine attacks against newly trained Myanmar military troops, who had been recruited for the 5th batch of military conscription and trained at the Pathein-based No. 6 basic military training center, while there were being transported to an unidentified location in Shan state. 8 military conscripts were killed, including three from Kangyidaunt, one from Myaungmya, two from Yegyi, and two from Wakema. Location coded as Taunggyi.
