On 7 December 2024, in Jamundi (Valle del Cauca), a suspected member of the Jaime Martinez FARC dissident front detonated a motorcycle bomb he was riding after being pulled over at a police checkpoint. The explosion resulted in the suspect's death and 14 injuries, including seven civilians and seven police officers. It is suspected that the man triggered the explosive out of fear after being detained by the police. Whether the police checkpoint was the initial target or the man was headed elsewhere remains unclear. 1 fatality.
