A villager, identified as Manaru Akaali (35), was killed in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast when he stepped on the pressure-activated IED planted by the cadres of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) while he went to collect firewood in the Kohkabeda Forest area near Kaushalnar village in Dantewada District in the Bastar division of Chhattisgarh on December 16, reports The Times of India.
