On December 18 (today), three persons, identified as Bachchu Mia, Belal Hossain and Mohammad Tajul Islam were killed and 26 others were injured in violent clash between factions of Tablighi Jamaat (followers of Zubair Ahmed and Saad Kandhalvi) over the control of Biswa Ijtema (international congregation) ground in Tongi Upazila (Sub-District) in Gazipur District of Dhaka Division, reportsbdnews24. Four platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed to maintain law and order in the area, adds The Daily Star.
