On December 13, Abdul Ghaffar Baloch, a former vice president of Gwargo Tehsil (revenue unit) and local leader of the National Party, was shot dead by unidentified assailants (armed motorcyclists) after leaving a mosque post evening prayers in the Chatikan area of Panjgur District of Balochistan, reports Dawn. “Abdul Ghaffar Baloch sustained multiple gunshot wounds and died on the spot,” a senior Police officer confirmed, adding that the attackers fled the scene immediately after the shooting. However, no group immediately took responsibility for the attack.
