On 6 December 2024, in Hmawbi township (Yangon-North district, Yangon region), a combined force of the Brave Warriors for Myanmar, the Urban Special Operation, and the Shadow (S.A.F) attacked the Myanmar military's Hmawbi airbase using five 107 mm rockets at around 10 pm. DVB and Khit Thit Media reported that 15 military troops and Air Force officers were killed and 7 others were injured. A Y-8 transport aircraft and a Y-12 aircraft were damaged.
