On 12 December 2024, Iraqi army warplanes (Cessna 208 Caravans) conducted airstrikes targeting 8 hideouts of ISIL militants in Hamrin Mountains - Kirkuk (Salah Al Din), having received intelligence information from the National Intelligence Service and the military intelligence. The hideouts were used for hiding and storage of weapons and ammunition. Casualties unknown.
