An elementary school student brought shotgun cartridges to school, leading to his suspension while a disciplinary process was conducted. The incident occurred when two shotgun cartridges fell out of the boy’s backpack. The school immediately contacted the school police officer, who searched the student’s backpack but found no other weapons or ammunition. The boy told police he took the cartridges from his uncle, a hunter, who had shown him hunting equipment.
