SAA event in Punjab, Raishiana, Tarn Taran District area, India on Sat 7th December 2024

On December 7, Punjab Police attached properties of operatives of the Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF),located in the Red Line area of Raishiana village in Tarn Taran District of Punjab, in connection with the Batala shootout case, where Shiv Sena leader Rajiv Mahajan and his relatives were attacked on June 24, 2023, in Batala tehsil (revenue unit) in Gurdaspur District of Punjab, reports The Tribune.Batala Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Suhail Qasim Mir stated that thetargeted properties were used for planning and facilitating terrorist activities by KLF operatives.  Inderjit Singh Bajwa, a key KLF operative was identified as the primary conspirator. Mir added, “The three had orchestrated the crime to avenge the death of Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada. A .32-bore pistol, magazines, ammunition and communication devices were recovered from the accused, along with evidence of monetary transactions for facilitating the operation.”
