On 28 November 2024, in Chaung-U town (Chaung-U township, Monywa district, Sagaing region), the People's Defense Force - Chaung-U (PaKaPha) attacked around 15 Myanmar military troops advancing from Chaung-U police station to patrol near the Thone Su and Lay Su pagodas in Ta Mar Myaing ward with cluster mines around 8:48 am. A military soldier was killed and 8 were injured.
