On December 4, Narain Singh Chaura, a former Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorist, attacked Punjab’s former Chief Minister and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Sukhbir Singh Badal at the Golden Temple in Amritsar District of Punjab, reports The First Post. The accused was immediately taken into custody. Chaura had reportedly crossed into Pakistan in 1984 and was involved in smuggling weapons and explosives into Punjab. He was also associated with Akal Federation and Khalistan Liberation Army.
