Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAF) foiled a significant Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) attack as they seized and defused three improvised explosive devices (IEDs) weighing two kilograms each during a combing operation in the hilly areas of Bhandarpal, Jabkasa, and Madgaon in the Kondagaon District of Chhattisgarh on December 2, reports etvbharat.com. Police received a tip-off about the criminals conspiring a big blast. Anil Vishwakarma, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Farasgaon, said, "The IEDs were recovered at 4 pm on Tuesday [December 2] following which the Bomb Disposal Squad [BDS] foiled them. We have intensified search operations in the neighbouring regions to avoid any pre-planned attack."
