On 24 November 2024, Russian forces dropped KAB-type aerial bombs and shelled unidentified targets in Basivka, Sumy, suspectedly with 122mm and 152mm barrel artillery. Also, Russian forces (likely by shelling and drone strikes as the most common means) hit Ukrainian military positions near Basivka. According to Russian sources, Ukrainian military sustained losses in material and infantry in both the Kursk region of Russian Federation and near Basivka, Zhuravka, Loknia, Myropillia and Yunakivka of the Sumy region of Ukraine. Casualties unknown.
